Film delivery that feels like a premiere

Knotflix hosts finished wedding films as private HD streaming galleries under your studio’s name — couples open a link and watch a premiere, and the film downloads from the same page whenever they want to keep a copy. It was built inside Red Bank Studio, which delivers its own weddings on it every week.

The premiere page, under your name

When a couple opens their link, they get a dark, cinematic page with your studio’s name on it and the film front and center. No dashboard, no folder listing, no player chrome fighting your grade. It reads like the page for a film release, because that is what it is.

Nobody installs anything and nobody creates an account. The couple gets the link, forwards it to parents and the wedding party, and everyone streams the same HD film — on a phone in the group chat, on a laptop at Sunday lunch.

This is the page our own couples see. We did not design it from a spec sheet; we designed it from years of watching how couples actually open, share, and rewatch their films.

HD streaming — and a download, always

You upload the finished export once: through the browser, via Dropbox import, or with the Mac app on the Studio plan, which does resumable multi-gigabyte uploads that survive a dropped connection or a restart mid-file.

Knotflix handles the streaming side so playback just works, and the film is downloadable from the same page — a high-quality 1080p MP4, for the couple and for you, with nothing to enable first and no expiry on it. Being straight about what that is: it is our encode, not the graded export you uploaded, which we do not keep. Streaming is how couples watch, the download is how they keep a copy, and your own export stays the archive master.

To be fair to the simpler tools: if you just need to hand a single file to another professional — footage to an editor, a rough cut to a planner — a plain transfer link is still the right tool, and we use one for that ourselves. This is for the delivery the couple keeps.

Delivery that doubles as marketing

Each film can generate an embed link for your own website, streaming from the same player the couple’s gallery uses — your homepage reel and the private delivery come from one place. Embed links are revocable at any time, and revoking one never touches the couple’s gallery.

You also get a public portfolio page at knotflix.com/yourstudio that updates itself every time you publish a wedding. The work you deliver on Friday is on your portfolio by the weekend, with zero extra steps.

Credit the vendors while you are there — the venue, the florist, the band. They appear at the bottom of the couple’s gallery, and on the wedding’s public page if you feature it. A vendor you give an email address to gets one note that their work is featured, which is how a venue finds out you shot there and how the next enquiry starts.

Hosting that pays you instead of billing you

Every gallery includes 90 days of hosting. When a couple wants it to stay up longer, they extend it themselves — and half of every extension is paid out to your studio through Stripe. The anniversary rewatch becomes a small payout instead of a hosting bill you quietly eat.

What it costs

Two plans, both with the full delivery experience — the difference is scale, not features held hostage.

Common questions

Do couples need an account to watch their film?

No. Couples open a private link and the film streams in HD right there — no sign-up, nothing to install, and no password unless you add one. They can forward the link to parents and the wedding party, and everyone gets the same premiere-style page.

Can couples still download the original file?

Yes — the film downloads from the gallery as a high-quality 1080p MP4, for the couple and for you, with no setting to turn on first and no window it expires in. To be precise about it: that is our streaming encode, not the graded export you sent up, which we do not store. Keep your own export as the archive master and the gallery covers everything else.

What happens when the included 90 days of hosting end?

The couple can extend their gallery whenever they want more time, and half of every extension is paid out to your studio through Stripe. Long-tail hosting flips from a cost you carry into a small recurring payout.

Can I put a film on my own website?

Yes. Each film can generate an embed link for your own site, streaming from the same player as the couple’s gallery. The link is revocable at any time, and revoking it never touches the couple’s private delivery.
