Uploading a film

We push our own multi-gigabyte masters through this app every week, which is exactly why it works the way it does:

• Sign in with the same account you use on knotflix.com, then pick the project and film collection in the sidebar.
• Drag your finished export into the collection. That is the whole workflow — the app starts streaming it in chunks immediately.
• Watch the upload panel in the bottom-right corner. It lists every in-flight file with progress, and stays put while you keep working elsewhere in the app.
• Do not wait around. Progress is confirmed chunk by chunk as it uploads, so quitting the app mid-upload is fine — reopen it and the upload picks up from the last confirmed chunk, not from zero.
• Keep the export file where it was until the upload finishes. Resuming reads from the original file on disk, so moving or deleting it mid-upload is the one way to break a resume.

When an upload fails

Most interruptions never reach you: brief network blips are retried automatically, and a dropped connection just pauses the upload until it can resume. A file only shows as failed once the app has given up retrying on its own.

When that happens, the upload panel shows the error next to the file name. Retry it from there — you lose nothing, because the upload continues from the last confirmed chunk. If the app quit or the Mac restarted, simply reopen the app: the queue comes back and unfinished uploads resume on their own.

If the same file keeps failing, check the obvious things first: is the connection stable, does the export still exist at its original location, and does the file play cleanly in QuickTime? A truncated export from a crashed render fails in exactly this repeating way.
