Knotflix sends the delivery emails so you don’t have to — gallery-ready announcements to couples, activity alerts to your studio. Every type can be customized or switched off.
Who gets what
Emails go to three places. Couples get theirs at the email on the project — no account needed, the link inside is their same private gallery link. Your studio copies land in your notify-me inbox. And a vendor you have credited on a wedding gets exactly one email, if you gave them an address.
Couples receive: film gallery ready, photos ready (only when you press “Notify couple” on a collection — nothing fires before you’re ready), the gallery password if you locked that wedding, hosting expiry reminders and expired notices, payment receipts, failed-payment and refund emails when they buy extensions, and an order confirmation plus a shipping email with tracking when they order prints.
Your studio receives: first time a couple opens their gallery, a daily digest of new photo favorites, an album selection submitted, a full-gallery ZIP download, a SmugMug import finishing, every extension sale, and every print order — each with the amount and your share.
Vendors receive: one “your work is featured” email naming the couple and linking the gallery, sent when the gallery goes live or when you credit them on a gallery that is already live. Only vendors you gave an email address for, and only ever once each.
The notify-me inbox and per-type toggles
By default studio emails go to your login address. To change any of it:
Open Settings → Studio Profile and set “Send my notifications to” — useful when a shared studio@ address should get the activity, not your personal Google sign-in.
Open Settings → Notifications to see every email type in one list.
Select a type and flip the Enabled toggle to silence just that one — everything else keeps sending.
While you’re there, edit the subject, body, and button text with a live preview. A “Customized” chip marks edited types, and one click resets to the default copy.
Common questions
Do couples have to sign up to receive these emails?
No. Couple emails go to the address saved on the project, and every link inside points at their existing private gallery link. Couples never create accounts on Knotflix — the email is just the doorbell.
Are the digests real-time?
Favorites are batched into one daily digest per couple, so an afternoon of heart-tapping is one email, not forty. The rest — gallery viewed, sales, downloads, selections — send as they happen.
