A teammate is added by email in Settings → Team after they create their own Knotflix account. Team members get full access to every project in your studio. Unlimited seats come with the Studio plan; Solo is a single seat.
The order matters: your teammate signs up first, then you add them. There is no pending-invite state — if the email has no account yet, adding it will fail with a message saying so.
Membership is all-or-nothing: a teammate sees and manages every project in the studio — uploading films and photos, publishing galleries, editing details. There are no per-project permissions, so if you need a hard wall between two brands, run them as separate Knotflix accounts.
Two things stay owner-only: managing the team (adding and removing members) and managing the subscription and billing. Removing a teammate from Settings → Team cuts their access immediately; their own Knotflix account is untouched.
Solo is one seat — it is priced for a single filmmaker. To add teammates, switch to Studio ($49/mo or $490/yr, unlimited team); you can add people as soon as the upgrade goes through.
Once added, all their work lives in your studio, so they should cancel their own plan from their Settings → Billing to stop being charged for an empty account. Their login stays the same either way.
No. Team access covers every project in the studio, with no per-project permissions. If certain work truly needs to stay separate, keep it in a separate Knotflix account rather than trying to partition one studio.
Studio is free for 30 days — $0 today, cancel anytime before day 30.
